WHITESTONE, USA // Danielle Hughes is Vice President, Communications of two leading sports beverage brands, BODYARMOR and Powerade, owned by The Coca-Cola Company. She is responsible for setting the overall communications strategy across both brands. In this multi-faceted role, Danielle leads and oversees all aspects of the communications function within marketing for BODYARMOR and POWERADE including public relations, paid media and advertising, social media, influencer strategy, internal communications, executive thought leadership, corporate social responsibility communications and reputation management. Prior to this role, Danielle served as Group Manager at Ketchum Sports where she developed the earned strategy for the agency’s largest accounts and was instrumental in the brand’s partnerships at the Olympic Games, the Super Bowl, PGA TOUR, and the U.S. Open.

For four consecutive Olympic Games, Danielle led communications strategy and programming for Procter & Gamble’s highly praised global “Thank You, Mom,” campaign, which went on to win multiple awards in several prestigious categories, including the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.Prior to Ketchum Sports, Danielle worked at other leading global public relations including MSL Group and MWW.

Danielle’s brand work has been recognized through numerous awards programs, and she is a frequent speaker, having been a panelist at the 2025 PR Week Sports Conference and Ragan/PR Daily’s Communications Summit. Danielle has been named to both Ragan’s Top Women in Communications and PRNEWS Top Women in Communications lists for 2025, as well as The Female Quotient + Linqia’s “Top Women Shaping Influencer Marketing.”
