TORONTO, CANADA // Alison Gordon is an editor and co-founder of Outsider Editorial. She initially cut her teeth in top commercial edit shops in Toronto, gaining national & international recognition before moving to Paris in 2011. After half a decade in the City of Light, working with such high profile brands as YSL, Bulgari, Peugeot and Samsung, she returned to Toronto to co-found Outsider Editorial. Since opening their doors in 2018, the shop has garnered much international acclaim, quickly racking up awards, including Cannes, Webby’s, Ciclope, LIA, D& AD, One Show AICP, Clios and even an Oscar shortlist. They ended up on Shots “Editing House of the Year” shortlist in 2020 and in 2023 the Immortal Awards rated them #1 Editing House in Canada and in the top 10 globally. Alison’s passion for promoting the art and craft of editing led to her serving on the AICP Post Council as well as on awards juries for AICP, Cannes Lions , Shots and Canada’s Marketing Awards.
