Executive Director of Engagement Planning
Translation + UnitedMasters

NEW YORK, USA // Joel Rodriguez is Translation’s Executive Director of Engagement Planning. Joel started his career at Translation as an intern in 2011. Since then, he's played pivotal roles on the account and strategy teams before building out the Context Planning department, which taps into culture to elevate a campaign's journey. Joel has led integrated planning and campaign launches for the Brooklyn Nets, Barclays Center, McDonald's, Budweiser, Sprite, Nike, Google, UnitedMasters, AT&T, Beats By Dre and more. As the Executive Director of Engagement Planning, Joel oversees the Context and Social Engagement departments to help extend a brand's message into the spaces and times where audiences will be most receptive.

"The details matter to the people who matter,” says Rodriguez. “We're here to help brands understand the cultural codes that matter most to their audience, so they can build relationships on trust and not just transaction."

Rodriguez, the epitome of a Translator, taps into his Queens roots and his experiences as an independent music artist to help inspire his creativity and approach to journey mapping.
