LONDON, UK // Melissa has always believed in the famed Saatchi mantra that ‘great ideas can come from anywhere’ and there’s nothing more wonderful than experiencing a great idea that comes from somewhere completely unexpected.

As people working in the creative industry, we are fine-tuned to these experiences. We seek them out everywhere we go, aching not just to learn something, but to feel something from every encounter. We look deep into the soul of the idea, untangling its roots, following the path to the very core of its origins where we hope to find truth, authenticity, beauty and relevance. But we are also acutely aware of the herculean efforts needed to find those truths, and the innumerable challenges that must be overcome so that we can bring them to the surface and give them life.

Seeing, hearing, discussing, and sometimes arguing over, these ideas has to be one of the most wonderful, if daunting, bonuses of the work we do. So, Melissa feels privileged to be given the honourable task of recognising and rewarding the past years’ incredible creativity with a much-coveted Clio, alongside so many talented, hardworking, passionate fellow creatives who truly know what it takes to earn one.

Melissa has been a Creative Director for over 20 years and has worked with amazing people at McCann Health, Grey Healthcare, Saatchi & Saatchi and is now surrounded by talent in her role as Group Creative Director at Hive Group, part of Fishawack Health. She has been on the judging panels for Clio, Cannes Lions Health, Rx Awards, IPA Awards and the PM Awards and has been proud to support her teams in winning many Gold, Silver and Bronzes along the way.
