PARIS, FRANCE // Alberto has been with Sanofi Consumer Healthcare since July 2020, joining initially as the US Category Head for Pain & Sleep, before taking on the role of Global Chief Growth Officer in January 2022.
He has nearly 2 decades of international brand marketing leadership and general management experience, with expertise in disruptive innovation and e-commerce and proven track record driving year-on-year business growth and sales turnaround. Alberto’s multi-cultural career is spent building iconic brands in global and start-up company settings across Europe, Latin America, and the US, as well as taking on a breadth of roles spanning country, regional, and global accountabilities.
Before joining Sanofi, Alberto was the Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer of Dyla Brands (participated by Keurig Dr Pepper) where he accelerated growth and notably implemented innovation and communication strategies that doubled the company’s revenue in 12 months. Prior to this, he spent 17 years at Nestle where his last role was Vice President of Marketing for Gerber Products Company, responsible for leading the most ambitious repositioning project for the Baby Food brand which resulted in bringing back this iconic brand to consumption growth and share gains after several years of decline.
Industry recognitions include 3 Effies, 1 American Package Design Awards, 1 Campaign of the Year 2018 by PR Week US, 1 Landor Pulse Award, 1 Clio, 2 MM+M, 3 Shorty Awards and 2 Shortlisted for the Cannes Lions. His marketing campaigns have been trending topics in social media on several occasions garnering more than 7+ billion impressions. He currently sits as a member of the ANA Global CMO Growth Council.
As a former graffiti artist, Alberto likes to tackle new roles boldly and courageously, harnessing “Crazy Elevate Creatives” to deliver powerful storytelling about purposeful brands – especially those that nudge behavior change and empower self-care. Relocated to Paris after living internationally for nearly 15 years, Alberto is re-discovering the joy of cross-country family road trips across Europe and further bonding his two US-born young children, Amelia and Lucas, to his Spanish heritage.
