NEW YORK, USA // Katherine Dore, VP Creative for the Content Room, started her career in film festivals. She worked with the San Francisco International Film Festival, Mill Valley Film Festival, and San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival. Leaving the Bay Area to study film at NYU, she received her MA in Cinema Studies. From there, she worked with legendary film archivist and documentarian, Rick Prelinger, as head of research. Moving into TV creative & production, Katherine developed and produced documentaries and series for various networks including NBC, Nickelodeon, VH1, and Comedy Central; she received Emmys for the 5-hour doc special Nickellennium (2000), and as Executive Producer for the branded doc-series, Citizen Active (2011).

Katherine has been with AMC Networks for ten years, starting as a Creative Director at Sundance TV, and currently serving as VP Creative for AMC’s Content Room. With an emphasis on branded films and talent relations, she has built a diverse resume of award-winning films, including Railroad Ties with Ancestry.com, Dark Skies & The William Brothers with Jeep, Project 5X5 with Visit Seattle, True Character: Brittany Howard, and most recently, the 4-part documentary series, Thick Skin, with Novo Nordisk.
