TORONTO, CANADA // Kristin Genovese is a Creative Sync licensing executive based in Brooklyn, NY. Currently an SVP at independent publisher Third Side Music, she oversees all licensing related to trailers, advertising & television promos, generating income and visibility for their roster which includes acts like Sofi Tukker, Blonde Redhead & Colin Stetson, and legacy catalogs like Galt MacDermot, Studio One, & The Clyde Otis Music Group. Kristin is equally as passionate for placing new music as she is for uncovering and breathing new life into the hidden gems in Third Side’s eclectic catalog of Crate-digger music from around the globe by working with her artists and clients on remixing and sample-based projects.

Previously at Sony Music's Sync Shop (Columbia, Epic, RCA, etc.), Heavy Duty Music, and Downtown Publishing, Kristin has worked across all media securing sync placements for both frontline and catalog music in high-visibility projects worldwide. A music supervisor earlier in her career for both independent films and VICE's TV Network, VICELAND, Kristin got her start at MTV working in the News & Docs department on shows like "Catfish: The TV Show" and "True Life" in NYC before moving out west for a 7 year stint in Los Angeles in 2013.

In addition to her career in music, Kristin spearheads volunteer efforts for her music industry peers and has collectively raised tens of thousands of dollars for non-profit organizations through events and benefit concerts throughout recent years. In 2020, Kristin relocated back to her home city of New York.
