BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA // Alejo Santos is an award-winning film and advertising editor whose precision, rhythm, and storytelling instinct have shaped hundreds of commercial campaigns and numerous internationally acclaimed films. With a career that bridges the worlds of high-end advertising and global cinema, he brings a distinctive cinematic pulse to every project he touches. In advertising, Alejo has edited more than 300 commercials for leading international brands — Coca-Cola, Ford, Jeep, Samsung, Sprite, Volkswagen — teaming up with renowned directors such as Andy Fogwill, Martín Kalina, Rupert Sanders and Rodrigo Saavedra and top notch agencies like Gut, Ogilvy, BBDO, FCB. His work has earned major distinctions, including a Cannes Silver Lion in Editing for Sprite’s Refreshing Truths, multiple awards for Fox Premium’s Son of a Binge, and global recognition for Burger King’s No Artificial (Cannes Grand Prix, Silver at Clios). Additional highlights include the One Show–awarded WhatsApp spot Kids, multiple U.S. Chevy campaigns and Stella Artois Hiders Keepers, also honored at Cannes Lions. Beyond advertising, Alejo has worked both in fiction and documentary. His films have premiered at the world’s leading festivals, including Cannes, Berlinale, San Sebastián IFF and the Mar del Plata IFF. His credits include When the Geese Flew (Arthur Gay, 2025 – Directors’ Fortnight, Cannes), El Santo (Agustín Carbonere, 2023 – winner of six BAFICI awards), Kaiser von Atlantis (Sebastián Alfie, Málaga IFF), Window Boy Would Also Like to Have a Submarine (Alex Piperno, 2020 Berlinale Tagesspiegel Jury Award) and Pianist Street (Mariano Nante, winner of multiple Condor de Plata and Málaga IFF awards). In 2025, Alejo served as a creative mentor in Wuxi, China as part of the Looking China initiative. Since 2021, he has been a Board Member of the Argentine Society of Film Editors (SAE), and since 2023 he has also served on the board of TEMPO, the global federation connecting film editors’ associations worldwide. After years of working in the U.S. and internationally, Alejo co-founded MVP Editorial in 2022 — the first and most exclusive editorial house in Latin America. MVP now operates with a roster of editors across Argentina, Mexico, and Spain, shaping some of the region most ambitious advertising.
