NEW YORK, USA // Donald Schneider is the Creative Director of H&M, HENNES & MAURITZ in Stockholm, where he directs all Creative aspects of the H&M brand, worldwide (H&M operates 3,000 stores in 53 countries). Donald initiated H&M's collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld, followed by collaborations with Versace, Marni, Margiela, Isabel Marant and David Beckham. Prior to taking over the Creative helm at H&M, from 1994-2002 Donald was Art Director of French Vogue and Vogue Hommes International in Paris; from 1985 to 1994 Donald was Art Director at German Vogue and Tempo, both in Germany; and Fame and East Village Eye in New York.
Donald is Founder and Creative Director of Donald Schneider Studio, in Paris and Berlin. Donald's Studio is a creative agency for art direction & design. His clients include: BRIONI, CARTIER, CHLOÉ, CONDÉ NAST, H&M, HUGO BOSS, KARL LAGERFELD, RUSSIAN STANDARD VODKA, STERN-MAGAZINE, ULTRA RECORDS, VAN CLEEF & ARPELS.
Donald has an MFA in graphic design, from Kunstgewerbe Schule Zurich and Basel, Switzerland. He is both Swiss and American.
