NEW YORK, USA // Karine Schnapp offers more than 15 years of accomplishments in the retail, fashion and consumer packaged goods industries, managing businesses upwards of $1B, at companies such as Hugo Boss Fashions, L’Oreal and Victoria’s Secret. Karine’s expertise encompasses both US and global marketing roles, having directed all phases of the marketing life cycle, from product development and strategy to omni-channel execution. She has conceptualized and brought to market numerous award-winning beauty products, that have received accolades in the press and by the Fragrance Foundation.
Karine was born in Montreal, Canada where she graduated from McGill University with a degree in Industrial Relations. She spent 3 years in Paris, studying at La Sorbonne and L’Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris. Karine spent 7 years at L’Oreal in the luxury division honing her marketing skills in a variety of brand management roles.
She followed her experience in beauty by spending 8 years at the helm of the global brand marketing team for Victoria’s Secret Beauty, leading a $1B in retail sales, and supporting an additional $300MM in global BRIC markets. As the Vice President of Brand Marketing, Concept, and Creative, reporting to the President of Beauty, Karine oversaw a complex portfolio of business, in multiple categories, including fragrance, bodycare, makeup, haircare, skin and accessories. Karine was part of the executive committee that drove an incremental $200MM in sales, with a 5 year CAGR of 10%, between 2008-2012.
Karine’s most recent role is at Hugo Boss Fashions as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications reporting to Gerrit Ruetzel, President and CEO of Hugo Boss. She is currently responsible for driving the planning and execution of all marketing and communication strategies for the Americas region, including the US, Canada, Mexico and Brazil.
Karine and her husband Mitchell, live in Scarsdale, New York, with their 10 year old twins. The family is involved in the performing arts community, with Noah who is a working child actor, and Chloe an aspiring singer. Mitch is currently founding partner, and Managing Director of Point Harbor Capital, a hedge fund based in New York city. The entire Schnapp family has been actively involved with Solving Kids’ Cancer, a charity close to their hearts.
