SAO PAULO, BRAZIL // Renata is Bento’s mother, a fact she always emphasizes at the beginning of her presentations. With a background in law, specializing in Environmental Law, and an MBA in Marketing from UFRJ, she brings over 20 years of experience as a strategist for prominent brands such as Banco do Brasil, GM, Seara, Grupo Petropolis, Mastercard, LATAM, Itaú, Unilever and Vivo in various agencies such as BETC/Havas, Isobar, Africa and Ana Couto Branding & Design. Her expertise extends to technology and data, gained during her tenure at IBM iX as Head of Consumer Engagement for Latin America.

Renata’s accolades include serving as a judge at the Effie Awards for six editions, two global and four locals. In 2019, she was part of the Cannes Lions jury in the Creative e-commerce category and was recognized by Meio & Mensagem as one of the five Women to Watch honorees. In 2020, amidst the importance of redefining brands’ roles in people’s lives, she received the Caboré Award in the Planning Professional category. Her contributions led to her promotion to COO in 2022, aiming to enhance efficiency and integration within the operation.

Renata’s ascent in the advertising industry culminated in her appointment as CEO of WMcCann on March 1, 2024. Her leadership aims to steer clients towards achieving their business objectives by aligning strategies with consumer needs and desires. In the same year, Bokel was featured on Bloomberg Línea’s list of the 500 most influential people in Latin America and the Caribbean and was recognized as one of the TOP 6 most admired agency professionals in Brazil, according to the Agency Scope survey, which interviewed 409 marketing executives and 441 advertising industry professionals. In 2022, the executive had already secured a spot in the TOP 10 of the biennial list.
