NEW YORK CITY, USA // Rian Durham is currently Vice President, Accounts at the award winning live entertainment, arts, culture, sports and attractions agency Situation Interactive. He oversees the agencies US live entertainment clients, including the global phenomenon WICKED the musical, and Tony Award winning Musicals The Outsiders and Maybe Happy Ending. Past clients have included Kimberly Akimbo (Tony Award, Best Musical), The Bands Visit (Tony Award, Best Musical), Purpose (Tony Award, Best Play), The Prom (Adapted into a major motion picture by Ryan Murphy and Netflix) and over 20 other commercial live entertainment productions. Outside of theater, Rian has worked with major film studios and television networks. The work he has collaborated on with his Situation Interactive colleagues has won multiple Clios and other awards.
Rian’s passion is driven by his love for all things culture, entertainment and creating community around the clients he works on. He believes in the power of the live experience to transport and transform not just those who are fortunate to be there in person, but to create a passionate global fan base around the world. He specializes in both developing untested IP from the ground up and propelling existing brands into the next evolution of their experience. He has a passionate commitment to combining content with the consumer and finding ways to dispel what “should” be in advertising and marketing and innovating for what “could” be.
Rian will graduate with his Masters in Business Administration this December originally hails from the cornfields of Nebraska. Outside of work you can find him spending time with his lovable 90lb pup, spending time outdoors and traveling the world to connect and discover with the myriad of cultures and communities the global citizenry has to offer.
