BUCHAREST, ROMANIA // Roxana is one of the 15 women selected by the prestigious Cannes Lions See It Be It (SIBI) programme in 2020, aimed towards uprising female creatives. She was chosen from over 800 applicants worldwide and is the only creative from Eastern Europe to be onboard. In 2021, she was selected as one of the 37 creatives from around the world to join Google’s Rare Leadership Academy, a program aimed at underrepresented categories. She started her career by graduating the Art Directors Club Romania Academy and after winning the local Cannes Young Lion competition in 2012, she was selected to represent Romania at the ADC Europe’s Creative Express program. She’s also a graduate of Eurobest’s Young Digital Academy in 2015. Currently Executive Creative Director at DDB Romania, she has a background in art direction and has worked for over 15 years in agencies both big and small, including Cheil, Publicis and MRM//McCann and has a strong background in digital.

In her years as a creative, she constantly aimed to find communication solutions to social issues such as political bias, school abandonment and domestic violence. Her work has been awarded multiple times at festivals like Cannes Lions, D&AD, LIA Awards, Golden Drum, Eurobest, FIBRA Awards and other local shows. „Unquiet Voices”, her campaign fighting domestic violence, won praise not just in the advertising industry, but also at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival where it got screened. Her campaign #UnExaminable tackled virginity testing and won 2 Cannes Lions, a D&AD pencil and the first Gold in Health for Romania at LIA Awards, while also managing to officially outlaw the tests from around the country. Outside the office she has a thing for superheroes and typography and she never talks about herself in 3rd person.
