NOVATO, USA // Sami Thessman is 2K’s SVP of Global Creative, where he oversees 2K’s marketing and advertising strategy for unforgettable games that turn players into fanatics. Since joining 2K in 2019, Sami has been the driving force behind 2K’s creative strategy for franchises including NBA 2K, WWE 2K, PGA TOUR 2K, Borderlands, Civilization and Mafia. In recent years, 2K received multiple game award nominations, released over 20 titles, editions, and collections, and achieved over 39 million followers on all social channels, speaking to Thessman’s ability to help drive brand growth, engagement and recognition.

Prior to 2K, Sami was the chief creative officer of Wunderman New York, leading all the creative efforts for clients like United Airlines, Coca-Cola, E*TRADE and Dannon. Sami has also served as the Global Executive Creative Director for Infiniti and Executive Creative Director for TBWA\ Hong Kong, overseeing global brand strategy across Nissan, McDonald’s, Adidas, MasterCard, Standard Chartered Bank and AIA.
