SELINSGROVE, USA // Scott Matz’s career path and steadfast belief in creative excellence is what prompted the launch of design, branding and production agency, Thornberg & Forester, in 2007. Scott graduated in 1997 with high honors from ArtCenter College of Design, where he was classically trained in graphic design and packaging.
Prior to founding Thornberg & Forester, Scott was a designer, animator and creative director at top creative studios in LA and NYC for ten years. Those collective experiences further enhanced his creative acumen and cultivated his innate values of camaraderie, loyalty and creative integrity. In addition to President and Chief Creative Officer of Thornberg & Forester, Scott is also a seasoned director, and continues to be a hands-on creative visionary and team leader.
A short list of Scott’s client base includes brands – Spectrum, WorldQuant, Robinson Helicopter Company, Audible, Netflix, U.S. Open, JPMorgan and Bridgewater Associates (for whom Thornberg & Forester most recently designed and produced ‘Principles for Dealing with the Changing World Order by Ray Dalio’, and is currently approaching 72-million views on YouTube); networks – A&E, NBCUniversal, E!, USA, SYFY and Comedy Central; and charitable non-profit organizations – United Nations World Food Programme, Stand Up To Cancer and Conservation International.
Scott’s work has garnered numerous awards from The Type Directors Club, The Addy Awards, The Art Directors Club, Promax, Promax BDA, 3×3, Print, The Telly Awards, IA-AP International Motion Arts and The Communicator Awards.
Most important to Scott are the relationships he builds and fosters with his dedicated staff, freelance teams, creative allies and client partners. These relationships continue to foster the organic growth of a widely-diverse and meaningful archive of work, and working experiences, that live far beyond project delivery.
