Shruti Ganguly

NEW YORK, USA // Shruti is a filmmaker based in New York City. She has produced feature-length narrative movies, short films, documentaries, and digital video content, which have premiered at Sundance, SXSW, Venice, and Telluride. The films include THE COLOR OF TIME, BLACK DOG, RED DOG, and YOSEMITE, which star James Franco, Jessica Chastain, Mila Kunis, and Whoopi Goldberg, to name a few. Her recent movie H., directed by Rania Attieh and Daniel Garcia, won the Venice Biennale College Cinema 2013-2014 prize and premiered at the Venice Film Festival this year. She is currently producing THE GREEN DOLPHIN, with director Chris Kenneally and Executive Producer Keanu Reeves.

She most recently worked at Conde Nast Entertainment, developing the content and strategy for Vogue Magazine, and was previously a Senior Producer at MTV Networks and a producer at NYLON Magazine/NYLON TV. Shruti heads the narrative division at her production company, Fictionless, which she started with former colleagues from MTV and Ross Kauffman (Academy Award winner for BORN INTO BROTHELS) and her company WEG develops short form content for the financial sector.

Shruti received her MBA and MFA at NYU, at the Stern School of Business and the Tisch School of the Arts, respectively. She also teaches at NYU and Ringling College.  

She earned her Bachelor's degree from Northwestern University, and hails from India by way of Oman.
