MOCEAN Wins Inaugural Ping It On! Tournament

16 L.A. Agencies Competed for the Trophy

On Wednesday night, Clio Entertainment was proud to sponsor the award portion of the 2020 Ping It On! Tournament, hosted by Create Advertising Group. Over two-hundred creative advertisers convened at their Los Angeles office to cheer on their team and friends from around the industry.

The event was the first of its kind in the community. The idea sparked inside Create Advertising Group, and when they mentioned it to other agencies, everyone wanted to get in on the action. Over the past several weeks, 16 of the Los Angeles based entertainment agencies competed internally to find their Ping Pong champion. Last night, those victors competed for the top prize.

The participating agencies included:

Create
MOCEAN
Aspect
Ignition
Workshop Creative
BOND
Tiny Hero
Buddha Jones
Wild Card
Transit
Project X
Trailer Park
Grandson
Concept Arts
Big Picture
Position Music

Trailer Park Group and MOCEAN competed in the championship round, and Matt Lian, creative director/senior editor at MOCEAN became the champion and Ping Pong MVP. His skills were unstoppable and quite frankly, jaw-dropping. Cheers to Matt and to the entire MOCEAN team on this victory!

Most importantly, cheers to Create Advertising Group for opening their fabulous home to this wildly creative community. What I witnessed last night were high spirits, goodwill, and a lot of laughter.

Also, bravo to Position Music, who sponsored the incredible spread and the open bar. Thank you for being champions of this creative community!

I would be remiss not to praise the other MVP of the night, the conductor himself, head of operations at Create Advertising Group, David Miller. All night, and for weeks before, he orchestrated this magical event. Kudos to David. His efforts make us a stronger community.

It’s a night attendees will not soon forget, and it is one we will fondly remember. I genuinely believe we are all better when we can get together to learn from each other, draw inspiration from one another, and make connections that don’t take place inside an edit bay.

Until next time, let’s keep inspiring and pushing this industry forward.
