Six & Out: Second Innings is an integrated campaign that told the incredible story of Australia’s most unlikely rock icons: a band made up entirely of professional cricketers, including several national team stars. Proudly sponsored by Macca’s – whose branding and products could be seen throughout every element of the campaign – the surprisingly emotional story of music, sport and mate-ship scored cameos from national and international cricket legends, Australian music hall-of-famers – even the Australian Prime Minister. The nostalgic five-part rockumentary, series of three TVCs and national tour were a huge hit with audiences, and a massive success for McDonald’s. It was also a boost for Six & Out themselves, who played to packed venues for their reunion shows.
