Hulu's "Paradise" is a thriller by Dan Fogelman set in a city-sized Colorado bunker after an apocalyptic doomsday event. After the murder of the President of the United States, Agent Collins (Sterling K. Brown) leads an investigation to uncover the truth.
Hulu built a multipronged influencer campaign to generate awareness, social conversation, and anticipation for the new series. Nearly 40 influencers participated in the campaign after being inducted into a “confidential agreement”, tying in the show's theme of secrecy.
Through a secret screening where the influencers were the first to be exposed to the twist at the end of episode one, a digital stunt bringing select creators in-world of Paradise by challenging them to pass a polygraph test, skywriting message reactions, set visits, cast interviews, skits, and more – the campaign earned over 100 social media posts, 14 million video views, and 146 million social impressions.
This campaign's entry is built on integrating the influencers into the campaign versus recommending the show to their followers. The immersive, augmented reality, and creative elements of the campaign helps to elevate it beyond your typical viral marketing campaign
