The category’s yearly launch moment was crowded with dull, predictable trailers. To stand out, Netflix’s 2025 slate needed to do what Netflix does best: entertain the world in new, surprising ways.
“You’re Not Ready” rallied fans with a challenge: No matter how hard you try, you can’t prepare for everything on Netflix in 2025. We warned the world, and dared them to prove us wrong.
The campaign launched with a narrative film combining 25 titles, out-of-home, in-person activations, and 20 global press events. Netflix took over unexpected touchpoints like transit systems, shipping containers, Roblox, even a working Hawkins Police Department phone line, connecting fans to their favorite shows. Netflix lured fans to fixate on what’s next, and they answered the call, publicly dissecting, speculating, and devouring every touchpoint. This campaign stood out, broke company records for impressions and engagement, and eclipsed individual titles, ensuring Netflix broke through.
