SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL // As a passionate creative leader, Sergio Gordilho combines human-centered skills with technology, storytelling, design, and production, building an environment where people feel inspired to do their very best innovative work, thus maintaining Latin America’s creative excellence and global ambition.

Under his vision, Africa has been leading the main global award creative rankings in the region for the past 5 years, it has been recognized as Ad Age’s International Agency of the Year, one of the ten most creative agencies in the world by Adweek, and one of the Best and Bravest Agencies on the Planet according to Contagious.

Gordilho has been selected to lists like Business Insider’s “Most Creative People in Advertising,” Adweek’s “13 Global Creative Leaders whose ideas are advancing advertising worldwide,” “One of the Most Influential Admen in Brazil” by GQ magazine, and the Most Awarded Ibero-American creative for the last 5 years.

He is one of the only three creatives, alongside Marcello Serpa and Washington Olivetto, who has been elected Brazilian Creative of the Year more than once, as well as named Leader of the Communications Industry at the Cabore Awards, the most important and prestigious recognition in the Brazilian market.

As a member of several advisory boards, Sergio applies his passion for doing new things in scalable ways by bridging expertise, funding, and ideas to both business and societal sides, collaborating actively with institutions and organizations such as FIESP (Federation of Industries of the State of Sao Paulo), CUFA (largest slums organization in Latin America), VOXX (first leadership course for black transgender people), and Escola Africa, a creative qualification project for black youngsters in a vulnerable situation. All initiatives aim at opening more doors for diversity in Brazil’s creative industry.

Obsessed with art and technology, Gordilho is director and member of the board of MAM, Sao Paulo Museum of Modern Art as well as Afro Brasil Museum and is part of MIT Technology Review’s editorial board.
