MIAMI, USA // Brand and Product Strategy leader with extensive experience in developing multibillion dollar global brands and businesses in Consumer Goods and Financial Tech Services companies.

In his current role, Luis is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to advance the organization’s positioning as an innovative and lifestyle brand. He is responsible for activating relevant sponsorship assets and experiences to build the brand and drive business results in North America, by leveraging consumer and customer insights to create innovative, culturally relevant, inclusive and engaging marketing platforms.

Luis joined Mastercard in 2016. Prior to his current position, he led the Consumer Marketing and Sponsorships team for Latin America and Caribbean, and before he oversaw the Marketing and Communications efforts for Andean and Caribbean regions, where he accelerated the development of new Priceless experiential platforms and supported the launch of the organization’s now iconic multisensory brand strategy to strengthen brand preference in the digital age.

Before joining Mastercard, Luis worked for 12 years at SC Johnson in several marketing positions including as Senior Director, Global Marketing, where he led the innovation strategy for key brand portfolios and managed project teams from around the world. He also spent 4 years at Colgate Palmolive, where he held positions of increased responsibility in the Marketing and Sales teams.

Luis holds a bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering from Simon Bolivar University in Caracas, Venezuela, and an MBA from the Metropolitan University of Venezuela. He also graduated from the Global Business Management Program at the IE Business School in Madrid, Spain.

He is passionate about Sustainability, Mar-Tech innovation… and Tennis!
