LOS ANGELES, USA // Jasen Emmons is a museum innovator focused on creating meaningful and memorable visitor experiences connected to music and pop culture. Since joining the Grammy Museum in 2022 as the Chief Curator and Vice President of Curatorial Affairs at the GRAMMY Museum, Emmons has expanded its audience by curating exhibits such as Hip-Hop America: The Mixtape Exhibit and Shakira, Shakira, and launched Sonic Playground, which features music-making interactives that foster collaboration and creativity among visitors of all ages. Prior to the Grammy Museum, Emmons was the Curatorial Director at Seattle’s Museum of Pop Culture (originally Experience Music Project), where he led the museum’s evolution from its origins as a music museum to a pop culture museum, which significantly expanded its content and audience. During his 20-year tenure at EMP/MoPOP, Emmons also curated wide-ranging exhibits, including the first museum exhibit about Bob Dylan, Bob Dylan’s American Journey, 1956-1966.
