CULVER CITY, USA // Matt Plotnik is currently the Global Head of Marketing for Apple Music, Apple Podcasts and Shazam, where he leads an incredible team covering marketing across brand, content, product, artists, partnerships, and more – focused on driving revenue and subscription growth across these businesses. With over two decades of experience in the music and tech industries, Matt’s career in music started as a college marketing rep at Sony Music, promoting artists at record stores and at local venues throughout Los Angeles. He went on to spend nearly ten more years at Sony Music, ultimately leading International Digital Marketing across their label groups. He went on to Twitter, where he shaped global conversations through partnerships, as well as helped to launch a number of new products and features, leading those efforts in music, out of their New York offices.
Now at Apple for nearly 10 years, Matt is proud to be a part of a company that is constantly innovating, with features like Spatial Audio, AutoMix, and Apple Music Sing. And, he is proud to work with amazing people every day who are singularly focused on creating the best experiences for our customers, artists, and creators. Matt is a graduate of USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, has his MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business. He currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife, and adorable 2-year old daughter.
