Kathy Angstadt

LOS ANGELES, USA // Kathy Angstadt is an innovative Grammy-winning producer and creative executive who worked with Jimmy Iovine as SVP/Head of Creative at Interscope Records for almost 20 years.  While at Interscope she helped shape the visuals and stories behind some of the most influential artists of our time – Lady Gaga, Eminem, Black Eyed Peas, Dr. Dre, Weezer, Gwen Stefani, Beck, Pharrell, Madonna, M.I.A., Nine Inch Nails, U2, and the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s among many others. Her work isn’t just about making music videos or content, it’s about finding the essence of an artist and letting their individuality shine. She’s a creative force who’s always been focused on storytelling – the kind that cuts through everything else and connects. Whether she was producing hundreds of videos at Interscope or overseeing Eminem’s latest visuals as an independent producer, her goal has always been the same: make something honest, make something that lasts.

Her recent work includes producing all the visuals for Eminem’s latest The Death of Slim Shady – including the breakthrough video for “Houdini” which used AI and virtual production to bring back the raw spirit of late 90s Slim Shady in a way that felt alive, not nostalgic. The video has amassed 250 million views and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Music Video and an MTV award for Best Hip-Hop Video. Currently, Kathy is a co-producer on Stans, a documentary which explores the world of super fandom, examining both the artist’s perspective and the experiences of his dedicated “Stans”, released in August of 2025 and debuted as the #1 film on Paramount Plus. She also co-produced Joseph Kahn’s film Bodied, which won audience awards at both the 2017 AFI Fest and TIFF and was released by NEON.

Her focus on storytelling and innovative production fosters an environment of creativity and excellence which has resulted in multiple awards and billions of views.  In 2025 she joined forces with five producers to form Whatever Pictures, a production company dedicated to shaking up the world of long form music content with the goal of bringing fresh approaches to assembling teams, creating innovative paths to sourcing funding and distribution, all to elevate creative in today’s evolving media landscape.
