SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL // Igor is a film director and founder of Sugar. His journey in advertising began remarkably early: at just 15, he joined Africa, one of Brazil’s leading agencies, where he grew as an editor before moving on to AlmapBBDO and Grey Brasil as a post-production director. At 24, Igor launched his own production company, Sugar, stepping into the role of film director. Since then, his work has been recognized with multiple awards across major international festivals. In 2024, he was named one of the Cannes Lions People of the Year, ranking as the 7th top film director globally. His recent work includes global campaigns such as Visa’s Winter Olympics film, created with VML and shot in Ushuaia with Brazilian Olympic athlete Lucas Pinheiros. In the music world, he directed the latest music videos for rising London artist Rejjie Snow. With a career marked by bold storytelling and continuous evolution, Igor is driven by the belief that this is only the beginning, and that the most exciting projects are still ahead.
