BERLIN, GERMANY // Michael’s work claimed over years national and international awards. His recent work contains out „1 Square Meter“ by Hornbach which won a Cannes Film Craft Grand Prix in 2024 and Hornbach “Hands” (2024) & “Feel like a kid again” (2025), running the award shows at the moment. Born in Karl-Marx-City in the former GDR, he calls himself a socialist at heart believing that together you can achieve more and more just. Therefore Michael is a driving force in the German Producers association Produktionsallianz as Deputy Chairman of the Board as well as a. member of the advisory board of the EPA (European Producers Association). Besides his work at TPF, Michael is teaching since 18 years on a regular basis at different universities and schools. TPF is also one of the founding partners of the Hamburg Media School university degree for value oriented commercial production. On his initiative TPF was the first production company in Germany that focused substantially on an own reforestation program on a bigger scale. In 2025 TPF reached another major milestone with planting tree number 30.000 since 2018 – twice the amount the state of Berlin managed to plant in the past 10 years. In addition TPF got awarded as well in 2024 for the most sustainable German production for their AKTION MENSCH project.
