LONDON, UK // LONDON, UK // Originally from Liverpool, John moved to London in 1994, where he soon lost his Scouse accent and accidentally became an award-winning film trailer editor. He became a proud owner of a Golden Trailer Award for the Oscar-winning documentary ‘Man On Wire’, and his Creative Director paw prints were also found across a host of AV campaigns for such films as ‘The Hurt Locker’, ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’ and ‘The Girl On The Train’ as well as for TV shows such as ‘Game Of Thrones’ In 2017, he co-founded Silk Factory with Andrew Snook. Today, with teams in both London and LA, John has helped build the company into a multi-award winning global agency bagging a host of Golden Trailer and Clio Awards along the way. Most recently, they scooped the prestigious Grand Prize for Trailer of the Year for the delightfully outrageous film ‘Kneecap’.
At work, John loves driving a 5.1 mix session giving his favourite, highly sophisticated audio note: “It’s great, now let’s make it louder.” Off the clock, he stays fit by actively avoiding the gym and walking his dog, a cavapoo called Crumble.
