CHICAGO, USA // Meg Farquhar is a talented Creative Director with a background in writing and a passion for creating fearless work that pushes boundaries and gets brands noticed. When she joined Energy BBDO in 2017 she immediately got to work helping to breathe new life into one of the agency’s most iconic accounts. She also lends her talents to the pro-bono account, the National Safety Council (NSC). Her most recent work for NSC, “Prescribed to Death,” had been Energy’s most awarded campaign of the year taking home six Lions (three of them Gold), the Designism Cube for Good at ADC, and three D&AD Pencils—just to name a few of Meg’s most recent accolades.
Meg’s fearless and dynamic work ethic have carried her across the globe throughout her 12+ years of experience in the industry. Meg has worked at Ogilvy Brazil, Ogilvy Singapore and David the Agency Brazil creating for top brands like Coca-Cola, Sprite, Motorola, Kraft and Unilever. Upon returning to the US, Meg worked at mono in Minneapolis on Target, Sperry, Firefox and Smashburger for over three years before relocating to Chicago as a Creative Director at Mekanism. There she worked on Peloton, Jim Beam, and the Obama Foundation, among others, before landing her spot at Energy.
When she’s not at the office, Meg looks forward to spending time in her bilingual household with her Brazilian husband and four-year-old son Benj—or packing the family up for their next big travel adventure.
