JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA // 1996 was the ill-fated year of the Macarena and also the beginning of Jenny Glover’s career in advertising. Armed with a spectacularly useless degree in law, she gained experience working at most of the big agencies over the years. She currently peddles her particular brand of darkness as the Executive Creative Director at TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris.
As a writer, she has won metal at international awards over 33 times. These include a total of 19 Cannes Lions, 9 of which have been gold, plus a rare Cannes Grand Prix. She has three D&AD Yellow Pencils as well as a tidy stash of local awards.
She sits on the Creative Circle Executive Board – the governing body of the creative sector of the South African advertising industry. In 2014 she was invited to present a radio master class on her multiple award-winning Mercedes-Benz campaigns at the Cannes Lions festival.
She has two daughters, Grace (3) and Ivy (1), who help her maintain her incredibly chic under-eye rings.
