Andrew Guirguis
Head of Design
Anomaly

NEW YORK, USA // Andrew is the Head of Design at Anomaly, leading the agency’s design-led projects, attracting new business opportunities and fostering design — one of Anomaly’s founding, core capabilities. Whilst he lives, breathes and dreams design, he’s an integrated creative at heart with a range of expertise developed over 14 years working across branding, advertising, digital, print and film.

A 5-and-a-half-year Anomaly veteran, Andrew has made a mark creating visually compelling campaigns, identities and design systems for brands such as Converse, Beats, Sally Hansen, Carnival Cruises, Autograph Collection Hotels, Crown Royal, New York Life, YouTube Music and Anomaly’s own highly-awarded medicinal cannabis company, dosist. Since 2015 he’s been focused, to the point of obsession, running Anomaly New York's design team and championing design network-wide.

Previously, Andrew was in Sydney where he was the design lead at Host/Havas, overseeing and executing projects for clients such as Coca-Cola, Air New Zealand, Vodafone, Lego and Bankwest.

Whilst Andrew was busy building his career in creative and design between 2000 and 2010, he led a ‘double life’ as a musician and published songwriter. As a frontman for Australian band Kid Confucius, he wrote and released albums, toured relentlessly and played major festivals across Australia with the likes of De La Soul, Gotye and Katy Perry.

These days in his limited spare time, Andrew co-creates, edits and self-publishes a magazine of short essays and serves as branding lead & co-founder of a soon-to-be-launched health food brand.
