LOS ANGELES, USA // Ivo Gerscovich is head of the award-winning, global Sonic Pillar division, headquartered in Burbank, tasked with overseeing all aspects of Sega’s multi-billion dollar flagship brand, Sonic the Hedgehog. Among other areas, he oversees Television, Video Games, Consumer Products, Marketing, PR, Events and works together with all of Sega’s sister business units focused on Sonic mobile, arcade and film. Over the last 2 years, the newly formed pillar team has been recognized for its hit television series Sonic Boom in over 30 film & television festivals globally, received over 20 digital marketing & game award honors, and is currently nominated for Choice Animated TV Show for the 2017 Teen Choice Awards on Fox.
Previously he has worked at multiple major Hollywood studios including 20th Century Fox, Vivendi Universal, and Paramount Pictures on key blockbuster franchises such as Star Trek, The Simpsons, Planet of the Apes, Ice Age, Iron Man and many more. Many of the products were based on major brands from Disney, Universal, Fox, Marvel, Paramount, Sony as well as Mattel. Early in his career he founded a surf/skate/snowboard apparel company which ended up with many accounts including Nordstroms, worked in marketing for professional automotive racing series featuring celebrity drivers piloting exotic vehicles from Ferrari and Lamborghini, and launched various other companies.
