NEW YORK, USA // Renata is the Chief Creative Officer for Ogilvy Health overseeing creative for all offices in North America. She has 25 years’ experience in advertising, producing creative results that help sell products and build brands worldwide.
Renata has been with Ogilvy for 6 years. With a consumer background, she was the creative lead for SC Johnson business North American and Global markets overseeing Glade, Scrubbing Bubbles, and Kiwi Shoe Care. During her tenure, the Kiwi brand won and astounding 5 Lions, 17 Clios and 6 One Show Pencils for the Portraits Completed Series, an integrated, interactive and experiential campaign. The work was considered the most creative of 2018 by Adweek.
Other industry recognitions include Creative Social Influencer of the Year by the Creative Pool, Cannes Lions Jury for Health and Wellness and Social Good, One Show Jury Member for Wellness and Ogilvy Worldwide Creative Council Member. With over 50 global creatives awards, including 20 Cannes Lions, , she’s particularly fond of two; the Cepacol Dental Floss Cannes Gold Lion, and the Effie Award won for The Partnership for Healthy Mouths, Healthy Lives. The latter was a pioneer multimedia public service campaign designed with more than 35 leading dental health organizations to teach the importance of oral health and simple ways to prevent oral disease.
Before joining Ogilvy, Renata led the creative for multiple brands in LATAM, Europe and in the US as well as China and Japan, collaborating with iconic skin and personal care brands such as Neutrogena, Pantene, Olay, Cover-Girl, Nivea, Band-Aid,, Sundown, Nivea, Suave and Dove.
Renata was born in Brazil to an Italian father and a Brazilian mother. She started her career in São Paulo, working at the most creative networks in the region. With dual citizenship, she then moved to Europe to work in Italy and the UK. Later on, she went back to Brazil to lead global brands. After some time she relocated to New York, where she’s been calling it home for almost a decade.
With a degree in Language and Literature, Renata achieved her Masters in Advertising and was a teacher of Creative Writing before becoming a copywriter. With time she developed the passion and knowledge for design and art direction, and today functions on both sides of the creative process. Renata likes the speed of marketing and communication life but also loves to chill with her family. She’s married, has two adorable grown-up children and a very human Labrador.
