BROOKLYN, USA // Jazmin Burrell is a seasoned strategic leader in both the tech and creative worlds. With tenures at creative agency powerhouses from McCann, 72andSunny to Spike DDB, she's worked with some of the world's most recognizable brands to create impactful work with purpose and insight. In the tech space, she served as a creative strategist lead at Snap Inc. creating world-class campaigns on the platform that drew attention from Vanity Fair, Vogue, AdWeek and The New York Times just to name a few. Her contributions to the creative world have led her to be recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30 lister, The Drum Future 50 and as a nominee for ADCOLOR's Rising Star award and a guest speaker at many conferences and shows.
In June of 2022, Jazmin was appointed as the first Director of Strategy for Obsidianworks under the leadership of Michael B. Jordan and Chad Easterling to establish the strategic foundation of the agency and galvanize creative. At Obsidianworks, she leads a small strategy team to create culturally relevant campaigns anchored in insights and human truths relevant to multicultural audiences globally. In addition to her role as the Director of Strategy at Obsidianworks, Jazmin also leads her own practice named after her great-grandmother, Lizzie Della Creative Strategies, that specifically works with small and upcoming minority and women-led businesses to help them find their voice in a crowded market that often overlooks diverse perspectives. She earned her degree in Strategic Communication from the esteemed School of Journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia with minors in Spanish and Classical Humanities.
