WHISTLER, CANADA // Jason Macdonald, founder of top editorial firm NO6, is an industry vet whose films have earned the highest advertising and entertainment accolades, including an Outstanding Commercial Emmy (“Back to School Essentials” for Sandy Hook Promise), plus 2 other nominations; over 50 Cannes Lions including a Grand Prix (“Generation Lockdown” for March for Our Lives) Titanium for “The Lost Class”, Film Craft Editing (Sandy Hook Promise “Evan”) and more recently, the Super Clio (“Rabbit Hole” for Tubi). He was also named the No. 1 most awarded editor by D&AD in 2022. Jason has cut numerous high-profile campaigns, including multiple Super Bowl ads (Mountain Dew, BMW, Stella Artois, Verizon, Groupon, Michelob), and he’s a go-to collaborator for the industry’s top directors, including Bryan Buckley, Henry-Alex Rubin, Tom Kuntz, Jim Jenkins and David Shane. His craft spans the breadth of genres, from comedy and drama to visual and effects; and while editing is his forte, over the years he’s broadened his leadership to all aspects of postproduction overseeing NO6, which has expanded into finishing via offshoot NO6 and Revolve Audio.
