SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA // Abigail Sie is a multi-award winning Sound Designer at Song Zu where she has played an integral role in sound production for both the Sydney and Singapore offices for over 15 years. 

A former violinist, she brings a musical ear to all she does. Her diverse body of work includes feature films, short films, television series and advertising campaigns.

In 2005, Abby was part of the Academy Award-winning sound team working on Peter Jackson’s King Kong. Her other film credits include Men’s Group (IF Best Film), 35 Letters (Sydney Film Festival Best Documentary) and A Messsage From Fallujah (Best of the Fest – L.A. Shorts Fest). She was sound supervisor and re-recording mixer for a number of TV series including Here Come The Habibs (Channel 9), Soul Mates (ABC/NBCU) and Ganja Queen (HBO).

Abby’s prestigious reel of advertising campaigns includes Qantas, Smirnoff, Coca Cola, Bulleit Bourbon, Sony, Etihad, Canon, Bundaberg Rum and Commonwealth Bank. Her work has gone on to win Cannes Lions, London International Awards, Clios and AWARD awards.

Passionate about innovative sound experience, Abby has been working with VR developers, experimenting with techniques to create 3D sound. She also contributes articles for designingsound.com.
