Clio Entertainment Awards

Clio Entertainment is the original and definitive celebration of creativity in the entertainment business. Originally established by The Hollywood Reporter in 1971, the awards program recognizes excellence in marketing and communications across film, television, live entertainment, and gaming.



General Eligibility

Games, Home Entertainment, Live Entertainment, Theatrical, Television & Streaming Eligibility Period: Entries first appearing in public between January 1, 2023 - August 31, 2024

Entries cannot be made without the permission of the client and/or owner of the rights of the work. All entries must have been created for a paying client except pro bono work for charities and non-profit organizations. Spec ads and director's cuts are NOT eligible. Clio retains the rights to disqualify entries which offend national, religious, cultural or racial groups.

Entries previously entered into the Clio Entertainment Awards are not eligible to be re-submitted. All such ineligible entries will be withdrawn by the Clio Entertainment Awards and the entry fee will NOT be refunded.

Disclaimer: Entries submitted by for-profit businesses in Russia are not eligible for awards this cycle.


Eligibility - Student Medium Type

A student is defined as someone who is enrolled in a recognized portfolio advertising or film school program, or in an accredited college or university. The work submitted by a student must have been produced during their enrollment, and within the period of January 1, 2023 - August 31, 2024 to be eligible in this year's Clio Entertainment Awards.
