NEW YORK, USA // Castro Desroches was born and raised in New York. Most first-generation Haitian Americans born in the U.S. traditionally have parents who inflict a great deal of pain upon their children in molding them into doctors, lawyers, or anything else they perceive as practical or exceptional. Thankfully, Castro’s parents didn’t take that path, and by chance he still turned out ok.
He attended school at the City College of New York for both his undergraduate degree in Design and Multimedia and his graduate degree in Branding and Integrated Communications.
He’s an absolute lifetime creative, knowing what he was called for from a very early age.
Today…(without aging himself) It’s about using all he’s learned, and calling back his distinct upbringing and culture as a black haitian man living in New York as the centerpoint of his creative output. He now serves as Group Creative Director at Translation.
