LOS ANGELES, USA // Charlie Emde, owner of Big Picture, is a Clio and Golden Trailer award-winning creative director with over 27 years of experience creating film, television, streaming, social, and digital campaigns.  Never willing to be confined by genre, he’s worked on big budget blockbusters, independent films, dramas, comedies, and everything in between.  Notable campaigns include Emelia Perez, Jurassic World (Fallen Kingdom, Dominion, Rebirth), Superman, Creed (2 & 3), No Time to Die, Jumanji (Welcome to the Jungle, Next Level), Ghostbusters (Afterlife, Frozen Empire), Equalizer (2 & 3), Matrix: Resurrections, No Hard Feelings, Trolls 3, Minions, Booksmart, Sorry to Bother You, Men In Black International, and most recently The Sheep Detectives.

Charlie began his career in Creative Advertising fresh out of LMU film school at Creative Domain as a production assistant.  After 9 months, he was promoted to editor cutting his teeth on campaigns like The Haunted Mansion, Miracle, and later when the company was acquired by Trailer Park, Poseidon and Step Up.  In 2006, he joined New Line Cinema as VP of Creative Advertising overseeing the print and AV marketing materials for Be Kind Rewind, Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, and later when New Line was absorbed by Warner Bros, He’s Just Not that Into You and Sex and the City.  In 2009, he returned to the agency side, where he made a home at Big Picture moving up to Co-President in 2014 and partner in 2016.

When he’s not trying to win the latest trailer, he enjoys playing basketball and traveling with his wife and three children in Redondo Beach.
