LISBON, PORTUGAL // João Mescas is a young Portuguese creative born in a small fishing town. He worked as a shellfish farmer and designer before excelling as an art director in recent years. His career has taken him between Portugal and Spain, working at agencies such as Lola Barcelona, Y&R, FunnyHow, Dentsu Creative, before joining BBDO/TBWA assuming the role of creative director. His portfolio spans a wide range of clients and includes several campaigns that have earned awards at major international festivals, from Cannes Lions to One Show, as well as D&AD, LIA, and Clio, where he has won multiple metals, including a Grand Prix.
