HAMBURG, GERMANY // Julijus, originally from the Netherlands, has a background in art direction and design. His creative journey began in Amsterdam, where he spent over a decade refining his design and conceptual skills at agencies such as Arc Amsterdam, Leo Burnett, and Saatchi & Saatchi, working with brands like Fiat, Mastercard, Microsoft, Novartis, and Roche, as well as various government accounts. His technical background and the growth of digital communication led him toward digital-first ideas.
Seeking new experiences, Julijus eventually moved to Hamburg, where he now leads teams at Grabarz & Partner. Over the years, he has created campaigns for Volkswagen, Indeed, Burger King, audibene, and Deutsche Bahn.
Known for his dedication to creativity and innovative thinking, Julijus has received over 100 local and international industry awards.
He is also committed to developing young talent and is involved in various initiatives for young creatives, such as ADC Europe High Potentials, and leads collaborative workshops at different schools and universities.
Though he calls Hamburg home, Julijus stays connected to his Dutch roots. His Dutch accent is still noticeable when he speaks German, and he frequently returns to the Dutch coast, bringing back a renewed perspective to his work.
