SOUTH PASADENA, USA // Karina Martinez is the Co-Founder and CEO of DRAFTED, a sports media company focused on the growing cultural influence of Latinas in sports. Martinez founded DRAFTED to reflect a broader experience of sports culture, one in which sports intersect with music, fashion, identity, family and community. Today, the company brings that perspective to life through original content, cultural experiences, audience research and partnerships with leading brands.

Born in Paraguay and adopted by Cuban immigrants, Martinez was raised in Southern California and brings her experience as a queer Latina to a career focused on understanding the communities and cultural shifts that traditional industries often overlook. She was named one of Adweek’s Most Powerful Women in Sports in 2026, the Hispanic Public Relations Association’s 2025 Pioneer of the Year and one of HOLA! USA’s Top 100 Latina Powerhouses.
