CHICAGO, USA // Mel Routhier currently serves as Global Chief Creative Officer, Health + Wellness as well as CCO of Chicago, leading a specialist creative team spanning three continents including Apac, Europe and North America. In line with VML Heath’s connected strategy, she and her specialist health creative teams also collaborate with the VML creative teams to cross fertilize ideas from across the industry. Key clients include Abbott Laboratories, World of Hyatt, Pizza Hut, Vital Proteins, Kohl’s, Genentech, Astra-Zeneca, and Purina. A proven leader who tirelessly works to transform brands and make them famous, Mel’s work has received top honors at the major industry shows, including awards from Cannes, the London International Awards, D&AD, Clios, Effies, Lürzer’s Archive, Communication Arts and the ADDYs.
In addition to being a 27-year veteran of the ad industry, Mel is also a 12-year vet of the equally challenging and fulfilling parenting industry, where, alongside her husband Eric, she serves as co-Chief Operating Officer to her two children, Elliot (age 12) and Faye (age 10 and—very precisely—3/4ths).
