PRINCETON, USA // Nicky Battle’s journey to healthcare communications took an unexpected path through Billboard chart-toppers, blockbuster films, and even IHOP pancakes. As the Founder of Think Tank Digital, a media agency specializing in social media strategy, Nicky and her team created media buzz for artists at Interscope, SONY Music, and Warner Bros. Records, as well as theatrical franchises like Blade and Final Destination. Among her favorite digital success stories in film was Snakes on a Plane, a project that highlighted the power of online engagement.

For years, her team led digital marketing for global superstars like Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and the Black Eyed Peas, as well as her childhood icons—Prince, Sade, The Isley Brothers, Patti LaBelle, and Teena Marie. As the streaming revolution transformed the industry, Nicky brought her expertise to MRM//McCANN, where she served as VP, Social Strategy Director, developing integrated media strategies for IHOP, Verizon, ETS, and more.

It was at MRM//McCANN that she discovered her passion for healthcare communications, realizing she could channel her talents into work that improves people’s lives. In 2018, she joined CDM Princeton as VP, Digital Strategy and later advanced to SVP, Engagement, delivering life-changing digital experiences informed by the latest physician and patient behavioral insights.

Just five years later, Nicky now serves as Managing Director, Healthcare Industry Lead at Ketchum, where she provides best-in-class client service and inclusive communications strategies for the consultancy’s pharmaceutical and biotech clients, with a special focus on oncology and virology.

Beyond her career, Nicky is deeply committed to her community, volunteering as an adult tutor, serving in PTA leadership roles, planning church retreats, leading employee resource groups, and mentoring rising talent.

For Nicky, the best days are those filled with collaboration—working closely with analysts, strategists, creatives, and paid media planners to craft next-level consumer experiences. She thrives on guiding audiences toward adoption through dynamic storytelling.

Nicky earned her BA in Psychology from Rutgers College, Rutgers University. She, her husband Al, and their dog Brick live in New Jersey, eagerly anticipating holiday breaks when their two adult children return home.
