Yuta Kaneko

TOKYO, JAPAN // Yuta Kaneko is a Creative Director and Creative Explorer, as well as a father of two kids and a soccer enthusiast. He started his career as a media planner before moving on to become an activation planner and eventually a creative director. In 2017, he joined TBWA HAKUHODO.

With his out-of-the-box thinking, he has led various campaigns to success, including UNIQLO’s global campaign and Oculus’ (now Meta) first launch in Japan. More recently, he spearheaded the launch of the new adidas × Japan national soccer team uniforms by collaborating with a manga artist in a deceptive campaign titled THE UNOFFICIAL LAUNCH, which won the Grand Prix in the DIRECT category at CLIO SPORTS 2023. His other clients and awards include NISSAN, AIG, JAXA, P&G, and he has received accolades from Cannes Lions, ADFEST, and Spikes Asia, among others.

His life might be crafted by sports; he started swimming at age 3, took up karate at age 6 and later became a champion in Japan, and has been playing soccer for over 35 years, continuing to play weekly and watch games twice a week. Lastly, he expresses a desire to continue elevating sports through creativity.
