Impossible Journey is a short film sharing the struggles of Black mothers in America. Told through a stork’s perspective, it shows her perilous journey to deliver a baby, symbolizing the health risks faced by expectant Black mothers. This contrasts the smooth, danger-free delivery of another stork, symbolizing White mothers. Each scene is hand-painted, leading to a live-action finale featuring a poem by Bruce McIntyre, a father who lost his partner, Amber Rose Isaac, during childbirth in 2020.
