New York City is a competitive place for any event in the arts. The city is home to some of the world’s best music, film and art. So for the Brooklyn Film Festival, an independent film festival in its 27th year of operation, the campaign had to stand out from the crowd. How? By saying, quite simply, that ‘Art is great. But wouldn’t it be better if it ‘movied’?’. Essentially, in a world of highbrow pretension, our tongue in cheek films lean into the relatable truth of being caught in an art gallery, not quite being in the right frame of mind to appreciate the art, and wishing that you were watching a film instead.
