By creating the only existing videos of these goals, we made that female players lead the conversation of Costa Rica for the first time. We launched the campaign one day before Costa Rica's debut in the 2023 Women's World Cup. Thousands of people shared it and expressed their desire to support the Costa Rican women's national team. Two of the country's most important streamers joined to the conversation organically, talked about the initiative and even played FIFA with women's teams for the first time in their streamings. The campaign appeared organically on the country's main sports programs, spaces dedicated exclusively and historically to men's football. For the first time in history, a goal scored by a woman was the most watched goal of the year in the country's main sports media account, and finally, Costa Rica's debut match in the Women's World Cup 2023 achieved a historic rating.
Achieving this media impact was a very important step in the fight for the visibility of women's soccer in Costa Rica, which, thanks to our action, is slightly more visible.
