To launch the new Netflix series “Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight” in Germany, we brought the captivating energy of Europe’s most iconic comic duo to the streets of Leipzig, right to the heart of one of Germany’s busiest districts. Set in a cartoon world where a small Gallic village resists Roman rule, Asterix & Obelix has been a cultural classic for decades, full of chaos, satire and nostalgia. We turned that spirit into a physical street installation: an interactive mural with custom-built “Slap A Roman” machines, inviting audiences to help the village fighting Romans. Hit the pad and watch a Roman soldier shoot up the wall. Two “Slap A Roman” machines for both kids and adults made sure everyone could take part, with a little extra power in the kids’ machine to make them feel like heroes. Participants received a personalized certificate and a chance to win an original comic book. This Mural served as a moment for adults to reconnect with the world of Asterix & Obelix, and created a new core memory for kids.
