Over a 2-year period, renowned ski mountaineers Christina ‘Lusti” Lustenberger, Jim Morrison, and their team, embark on the first ever ski descent of the formidable Great Trango Tower in Pakistan. They navigate risk, grapple with grief and face physical danger as they push the limits of human experience. At 20,000 feet, constant exposure tests their resolve, but it’s the unspoken trust and support within their expedition team that allows them to face the unimaginable together. Trango’s four cinematographers created the highest quality production ever achieved in such a remote, unforgiving location. Heli shots would have been logistically impossible and the advanced DJI drones enabled director & DP Leo Hoorn to create a dynamic aesthetic in 8K, showing the massive scope of the Trango landscape. The cinematography is unlike anything before, with dramatic aerial shots of reaching the summit and tight ski shots at the athletes side, as they are the first to ever ski the descent.
